California Rolls

Sushi is always thought to be really difficult, but it doesn’t need to be. This recipe is very simple, and the Crab Sticks can be replaced with anything you like; Salmon, Cucumber etc. Once you get the hang of rolling the seaweed, it’s really easy.


1 Portion


  1. Wash the sushi rice in plenty of water, cook according to instructions and cool to room temperature. Add rice mirin to taste
  2. Place a sheet of seaweed horizontally and add a large row of rice to the bottom edge
  3. Add a line of mayonaise, avocado and crab stick on top of the rice
  4. From the bottom of the sheet, roll the seaweed sheet forward into a roll. Wet the opposite end with a bit of water to help it stick
  5. Cut into chunks and serve
